Hi Everyone!

I am looking for these sounds to use in many of my simulations and games:

* Helicopter Blades ( Low / Medium / High )
* Space Shuttle gliding towards the earth through the wind
* Building Exploding ( varietys welcome )
* Building collapsing from an earthquake ( varietys welcome )
* Vehicle Crashing Sounds ( quick ones please )
* Vehicle Horn ( varietys welcome )
* Vehicle Engine ( varietys welcome )
* Vehicle Wind Shield Wipers ( varietys welcome )
* Vehicle Turn Signals ( varietys welcome )
* Bridge Out sounds ( The sounds that play when a bridge is being lifted up so that traffic stops )
* Train Horn ( varietys welcome )
* Train Engine ( varietys welcome )
* Train Cars' Wheels rolling on tracks
* Train Track Switches ( Both the switch sound AND the tracks moving sound )
* Train Brakes ( veyr important sound )

I need these sounds for Commercial uses as well some demos and free game projects I have on the board

Does anyone know of a good place I can obtain these specific sounds ( in any format ) Primarily for Commercial use either for free or for a "small" amount of money ( My funds are pretty limited at the moment )

If any of you have the capability of creating these sounds from scratch and would like to discuss pricing please send me a PM

hey UCM, have you looked at sounddogs.com, they have a pretty good collection of sounds and effects.

I usually have to search a LOT to get something worth using, then I'll use a sound editor to pick specific parts of the sound, or modify them to sound more like I wanted.

Actually... I think I have a helicopter sound.
Chopper.zip.

Hmmm. I also use Freesound.org quite a bit, but it usually takes SEVERAL samples to find one worth using. Here is a link to the license terms:
Creative Commons 1.0.
http://creativecommons.org/licenses/sampling+/1.0/

Basically you have to credit the author of the sound file.

sounddogs has a ton of stuff, wow!

@BUnzaga: that chopper sound is pretty cool, kinda sci-fi'y ^_^

I'm also going to go check out freesound.org now too

Hi,

You can also try freesound.org. It has a huge gallery of (as far as I know) copyright-free sounds. Most are not so good, but there are a few that are definitely worth it. Plus, the site lets you preview the sounds without leaving the page. IMO it's the best organized sound site around.

OOPS, just saw that BUnzaga beat me to it. Should have read through the whole thread before posting

Cheers
